Concurrent audit

Concurrent audit

"On-going concurrent audit of transactions as they happen — exceptions raised in the period, not six months later."

Concurrent audit exists because some books cannot wait for the year-end auditor. We sit on the transaction flow — typically monthly — and raise exceptions while the entry can still be corrected.

What this engagement covers

  • Agreed scope and sampling for the period
  • Review of vouchers, sanctions and account openings as specified
  • Exception reporting inside the period
  • Follow-up of open items into the next cycle
  • A period-end summary for management

How we work

The value is speed. An exception reported in the same month is a correction. The same exception reported at year-end is a finding.

Who it is for

Banks, NBFCs and other entities that require a concurrent auditor, and businesses that want a monthly independent eye on cash and sanctions.

Share the current mandate letter or the circular that requires the audit. Scope follows that document.
